TERMS & CONDITIONS

 

1) AWARD ORGANIZER

Company Guidi 1896 Srl, situated in Ponte Buggianese (PT), Via Stignanese, 76.

2) OBJECTIVES

The aim of the contest is to promote design activities for the decoration of interior and exterior spaces through forms of advertising and promotion of said items of furniture once the final designs have been selected and once the article destined to be exhibited at the trade fair, Salone del Mobile, also known as “Milano Design Week” that will take place in Milan from the 8th to the 14th of April 2019, has been completed;

3) PURPOSE OF THE COMPETITION

The purpose of the competition is the acquisition of ideational proposals for the realisation of an item of furniture for interiors or exteriors, through the use of 5 natural materials, such as:

- Wood
- Leather
- Glass
- Iron
- Paper

4) PARTICIPANTS

The competition will be open to all those who have an interest in it, without the need for any particular qualification or degree.

 

5) PROCEDURE AND COMPETITION CALENDAR

Participants will develop a conceptual proposal that will be evaluated by a jury composed by 5 industry experts.

Which will choose the five most deserving proposals according to their originality, functionality, aesthetics and prospect of commercial viability.

To enter, participants must submit their proposals to the Ente Banditore’s (“Promoter”, Guidi 1896) mail in PDF format to the following email address: [email protected]

The A4-size material must be comprised of two tables containing the furniture designs and a third table that provides a technical description of the product, its components and materials to be used for its future production.

The contest will open on September 15th, 2018 and will end on January 15th, 2019.

The jury’s work is highly confidential. At the conclusion of the same, the Commission will prepare its final report with the results of the competition.

The Commission's decision is binding for the Promoter.

The announcement will be published on the Promoter’s website - www.guidi.it - and its relative social media pages in order to reach the widest possible audience.

The materials provided by the participants have to be expressly free from copyright and the Promoter reserves the right to sell part or all of the five proposals selected recognising the author a royalty of 10% of the income generated in the eventuality of them being introduced into the market and sold.

 

 

The Promoter also reserves the right to display to the public all the conceptual proposals inherent to the competition, citing the name of the authors as well as to present extracts of said proposals in any publications, without it being possible to claim any monetary or any other type of reimbursement by the participants.

In the case that the proposals chosen by the jury present any kind of particular technical and/or production difficulty, the Promoter reserves the right to request modifications to the project directly to the author, while safeguarding the originality, design and idea of the author.

The five proposals chosen by the jury will not receive participation prizes or any kind of monetary retribution, however the furnishings, once produced, will be exhibited at the trade fair Salone del Mobile in 2019 mentioned above, so that the authors of the designs will have the chance to be exposed to the public and appreciated in the context of such an esteemed and important event.

6) PRIVACY DISCLOSURE PURSUANT TO ART. 13 et seq. GDPR 2016/679

According to article 11 and following of GDRP 2016/679 personal data will be used solely for the purpose of this announcement and the relationships therein. The parties have the right to access their data, to request correction, integration and any other rights envisaged therein.
